Fall Drama: The Velvet Jacket

When I initially saw this velvet jacket at the Nordstrom Anniversary sale I thought “band geek meets Michael Jackson.” But as I learned when I bought my favorite prom dress and my wedding gown: always take it off the hangar, Emily. Thank you 17 year-old self for learning this lesson. I can’t wait to wear this jacket all through the fall, especially paired with leather skinnies for date night. (Yowza!) FYI it runs a little small, I recommend sizing up. Tell me about your favorite dramatic closet staples in the comments below!

  2. Haha! “Always take if off the hanger” — that’s a great lesson you’ve known for years. And it all worked out because that jacket is SUPERB.

Hi Shruthi! Thanks so much 🙂 I know it sounds so silly but I HATED my wedding dress on the hangar and I wasn’t even going to try it on. So glad that I did. haha Thanks so much for stopping by!
