Flyy with Emily is a passion project. It’s where I showcase my travels, my life hacks and my journey as a pilot. Continually I’m amazed by my opportunities to travel and learn and I want to share those with you. As well as the hardships and stumbles I’ve had, so maybe you wont have them too.

Who am I?

Hello, I’m Emily, a medium time blogger and long time dreamer. I grew up in a one stoplight town in Colorado. We used the mountains to tell our directions and spent our weekends playing outside. I attended the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO where I was a collegiate track athlete and earned my B.S. in Management. Upon graduation I attended pilot training in Enid, OK and earned my dream assignment: flying the C-17. The Air Force has made Washington and now Hawaii our homes, you can say we’re kind of spoiled. We have a curious and rambunctious little boy and 2 fur-babies we absolutely adore. Jared and I are lucky enough to have the same job and find ourselves chasing each other around the globe quite often. Through my travels I have visited 38 countries and chased countless sunsets. I’ve enjoyed my fair share of interesting wines and cultural cuisines and I absolutely love my job.

So, here’s to hoping you will take this journey with me as I show you my travels, how I stay sane in a crazy-beautiful and busy life and how being a woman in a male-dominated field is not nearly as hard and scary as you think.
